Description
Be a proud leather kinkster with this large, light yet sturdy Leather Pride Flag! This flag is a symbol for the leather community but also bears meaning for the broader fetish community.
Designed by artist and leatherman Tony DeBlase in 1989, this flag was first displayed at the Mr. Leatherman competition in Chicago, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Though it is often seen represented within the gay community it is not exclusively a gay symbol.
The Leather Pride Flag has nine, equally sized horizontal stripes. From the top to the bottom, the stripes alternate between black and royal blue, with the center stripe in white. Additionally, a large, red heart sits in the upper left quadrant of the flag. DeBlase gave no reasoning to his design but instead left it up to the individual to discern its symbolism and meaning.
The flag is 90 cm tall by 150 cm long, digitally printed in one piece on polyester, with a stable side edge and two eyelets for fastening
